Description

My partner and I are looking to sublease one bedroom in our 3 bedroom apartment. We are hoping for a student or young professional (preferably a woman-identifying person) to occupy this space. My name is Vallerie and my partner is Sharon. I am a PhD candidate at the CUNY Graduate Center and Sharon is a professor at NYU and artist. We have one small dog and a cat, so it's best if the renter doesn't have allergies or pets of their own. They are very affectionate and loving, so it's important for you to be an animal lover too!  We try to keep a clean and organized apartment, so we take turns with different chores, the purchasing of toilet paper/paper towels, and some cleaning supplies. The room is a comfortable size and fully furnished (full-sized bed, small desk, nightstand, and closet). Our building is located on 153rd & Broadway in Hamilton Heights, very close to the 1, A, C trains and about a 12 min walk to the B and D trains. The M4 & M5 bus stops are just across the street and the M100 & M101 are an avenue away. There are also plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and delis in the area.

Electricity is also included, the only caveat is that if the renter chooses to install an air conditioner, they'd pay the difference on the electricity bill.

Room for Rent located in New York, NY, is a great rental option for Columbia University students looking for their next place to call home. This room is a short 17-minute walk to campus .
